Community Employment Services (CES)

Posted on Wednesday, December 14, 2011

The CES centre is based out of Woodstock but has offices in Ingersoll, Norwich, Plattsville, Princeton, Tavistock and Thamesford. It is separate from the Multi-Service Centre in Tillsonburg but both offer extremely helpful services.

The services available at CES are for people of all ages, but certain programs are created with a particular age group in mind. There are also no fees to use the services. That means you can have computer access, printers, skill-building workshops and employment assistance all for FREE!

What Services are Available?

  • Resume help
  • Student Job Service program
  • Employment counsellors
  • FREE computer access
  • FREE workshops
  • Printers
  • Support for high school co-op programs
  • Apprenticeship information
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Area/subject specific jobs
  • Job Connect Program
  • Wage subsidies
  • WHMIS training
  • Computer training

To find out more about the services available, contact your local centre.

Feel free to visit the centre with or without an appointment. There is an Intake Counsellor who can sit down with you right away and get you started or you can make an appointment to come back at another time.

If there is a service or workshop the centre does not currently offer, make a suggestion to the centre. They are always open to new ideas and are willing to create new workshops or programs if needed.
