I've been in the Canadian Sea Cadet program for a total of eight years now and the only way to describe the program is life-changing. I have been 153 RC(Sea)CC Woodstock for four years and was in the Woodstock Navy League for four years as well and it has changed my perspective on school, work, and social interaction. In cadets you meet people who will be your friends for life and nothing can change that. In my time as a cadet I have seen people who are afraid to speak out or interact become the most enthusiastic and outgoing people, in-fact I am one of those people. Overall cadets is one of the most amazing programs for youth and is unfortunately the best kept secret. If youth are looking for something to do, embark on a life-changing experience, or like a structured environment I suggest contacting your local army, or sea cadet corp.
